Loneliness is something we all experience every now and again. It’s not a fun feeling, and it can really take a toll on your mental health.
There are several things you can do when you find yourself feeling lonely, such as exploring hobbies, going on solo dates, being open for connections in spaces you’re already in, etc.

An option I want to explore more of is journaling through your loneliness.
Writing out how you’re feeling and exploring the causes of feeling lonely can be a great way to acknowledge and potentially combat the feeling.
Here are journal prompts for when you feel lonely:

How do I usually respond to loneliness?
Describe what loneliness feels like.
What am I telling myself about what it means to be lonely?
How is loneliness different from solitude for me?
When has loneliness actually helped me notice something about myself?
What am I afraid will happen if I sit fully with my loneliness?
What do I miss most when I’m lonely. Is it connection, validation, companionship, or something else?
Are there people, relationships or friendships that make you feel lonely?
How can I give myself some of what I crave from others in this moment?
What has loneliness taught me about the kind of relationships I want to build?
When have I mistaken being around people for true connection?
What small daily habits can make me feel less isolated?
What does loneliness feel like in my body?
