30-day self love writing challenge

When I take a few minutes out of my day to focus on self love and improving my relationship with myself, I find it allows me to choose a small area to self improve at a time without feeling overwhelmed. 

I’m always on a journey to becoming a better version of myself, and journaling and small activities have always been one of my favorite ways to take time out of my day to foster this journey.

If you’re like me and enjoy journaling and exploring your personal relationship, I want you to try a 30-day self love writing challenge!

It’ll allow you to focus on different areas of your life and how you view yourself to improve your self love and do some self improvement along the way. 

30 days of self love:

  1. What does self love actually mean to me?

  2. List three things I like about who I am today.

  3. What’s my favorite small thing about my appearance?

  4. What’s something I’m proud I’ve survived?

  5. When do I feel most like me?

  6. What makes me feel safe?

  7. How do I know I’m growing?

  8. When did I last surprise myself in a good way?

  9. Name one tiny boundary I want to practice.

  10. Here’s a little thing I did this week that deserves credit.

  11. What’s one thing I love about my body?

  12. What helps me reset when life feels heavy?

  13. This is a small way I can show myself love today.

  14. How do I comfort myself when I’m low?

  15. This is a part of my story that shaped me.

  16. What do I need more of in my life?

  17. Write down a reminder or two I wish I heard more often.

When it feels overwhelming and complicated, breaking up your self love journey into monthly intentions can be helpful. What do you want to achieve in the upcoming 30 days? What self love activities do you want to partake in? What goals do you have for yourself this month? 

Breaking your self love journey down into trackable action items or journal prompts can help you realistically improve the relationship you have with yourself and make bettering your self love a reality.

tips to make it through the 30-day self love writing challenge:

Devote time & set the mood: Finding and devoting your personal time is important to journaling and working through a self love challenge over the next 30 days. Find a quiet space away from your family, friends, coworkers, etc. Set the mood with a candle and a cup of coffee (or whatever makes you feel clear headed and productive!) It all depends on what space you’re going to feel comfortable in. 

Give yourself grace: Self love journeys are not linear. Don’t expect them to be, and don’t obsess or put yourself down if you find it hard to keep up with daily writing over the next month. Giving yourself grace is self love, so remember to do that.
