things confident women do every day

Being confident isn’t always about looks and strutting down the street.

Confidence can make you give a better speech, break up with someone who’s done you dirty a million times, apply for a job you feel unqualified for, etc.

Confidence will take you far in life. It’s the key to having a high self esteem, which can put you in rooms and conversations you never expected to be in.

It can improve your mental health and quality of life. Confidence is also a cycle. You feel confident enough to do something, but you also do things that make you more confident.

It also may come in waves, but there are plenty of things that can get you on the right track to becoming a more confident woman, from repeating affirmations every morning to doing something that scares you every day.

We all want to be strong, confident women. If you’re looking for some tips on confidence, read here for more on how to build self esteem and confidence.

But there are certain things I’ve noticed all confident women do.

things confident women do every day

Confident women always surround themselves with positive influences, stand strong in their decisions and beliefs, enjoy spending time in solitude and set boundaries.

They don’t see validation or praise from others, and they avoid making decisions they know they will regret.

Here’s all the things confident women do every day, and you should start doing too.

they compliment other women.

Receiving compliments is always great and does wonders for my self esteem. There’s truly nothing like it, especially when I’m not feeling my best or most confident.

But I also love to give them. I love telling a woman she’s pretty or that I like her outfit, hair, shoes, etc.

It fuels something in me, and I’m happy knowing I made someone feel good for a little bit. And you never know who needs to hear it.

Whenever I receive a compliment from another woman, I always notice they seem confident and happy. They’re thrilled to give someone else praise, and they don’t feel threatened or annoyed by someone else.

So I challenge you to lean into compliments and let yourself believe and feel happy when you receive them. You deserve to feel good, and you deserve to feel confident, no matter what anyone has told you or made you feel.

they surround themselves with positive influences.

The people you surround yourself with really do make a difference. I notice I tend to pick up bad habits from people around me, whether it’s drinking, eating bad food, being lazy, etc.

Now, I also have those bad habits naturally! But I do notice I’m more inclined to partake in my bad habits when others around me are comfortable doing it as well.

By surrounding yourself with other confident women, you tend to pick up some of their habits and mindset.

When people around me are pointing out their flaws or constantly complaining about their life, it makes me join in the conversation and criticize myself (I mean we’ve all seen Mean Girls and can relate to the scene in the mirror where they’re pointing out their insecurities, right?)

I think balance is good, and you should lean on friends and feel free to talk about your insecurities and flaws. But don’t harp on it or bring it up in every conversation.

they refrain from judging, bullying and constantly criticizing others.

Confident women don’t have the time or energy to judge others. They don’t go around bullying or criticizing someone else.

They’re too focused on what they have going on, and they are only interested in elevating people around them.

When’s the last time you’ve seen a bully or mean girl who was fully confident in themselves and happy with their own life? You just don’t do that when you’re fully satisfied in your own life.

It’s unfeminine and honestly just gross behavior.

they’re always interested in learning and growing.

Women who are confident are curious and interested in their own growth. They know how great they are, but they’re intrigued with how they can learn more or improve things about themselves.

They could want to read more, pick up a new hobby, heal from heartbreak, learn a new language, train for a 5K, etc.

Confident women know they’re not perfect and never will be. They know they can’t know everything or be superwoman. But they’re going to keep trying to grow as a human.

they stand strong in their decisions and beliefs.

There’s constantly people trying to shake your confidence in yourself by questioning your decisions and beliefs. There will be people who want you to feel dumb or immature for what you believe.

Confident women always are their own biggest advocate and supporter. Because if you don’t believe and have faith in yourself, who will?

Self belief is all about confidence and internal trust. It’s about knowing that you’re capable of doing what you put your mind to.

It’s about standing up for what you think is wrong and standing firm in your decisions that you know are right.

they don’t seek validation or praise.

One thing a confident woman is never going to do is chase validation or praise from someone. They don’t need or want it.

Women who are confident know their power and greatness.

Whether they receive praise or validation from a romantic partner, professor, friend, family member, etc. isn’t going to determine the faith they have in themselves.

They rely on themselves to provide that validation, support and praise first, and receiving it from someone else is just another positive element.

they set boundaries and know how to say no.

Confident women are experts at boundaries and saying no. They manage any guilt from disappointing others, and put themselves first in situations that are hurting them.

They’ve learned how to stop being a people pleaser and aren’t always worried about being liked or fitting in.

They know how to stand up for themselves in different scenarios and don’t try to diminish themselves for other people’s comfort.

they enjoy spending time in solitude.

Confident women don’t shy away from spending time in their own company.

In fact, they enjoy self care, quiet moments and solo time because they have strong self love.

In moments that they do feel lonely, they don’t rush to fill the void with bad choices or people they know they should stay away from.
